So who is this guy anyway??

Preston Swigart has spent most of his career as a news cameraman for television stations in Detroit and more recently in his freelance career, the national networks. Over his many years in the television industry, his work has been seen countless times by countless millions of people--likely you! He is an expert in all areas of modern television and media production. He is fond of calling this job ‘being the eyes and ears of the public’.  Married for 30 plus years to beautiful Michelle, father of three fantastic daughters now successful young adults all in their 20’s. A runner, a frustrated musician, a disciple, a photographer, a son trying to deal with aging parents as best he can, he has recently discovered he enjoys woodworking, and spends what little spare time he has remodeling a small cabin in northern Michigan on the Ausable River that he and Michelle purchased in 2012. Oh yes, he’s tall, too.

In his own words:

"Above all else, I'm a documentarian. I'm usually a pretty private person, but there are times I want to convey a sense of me and maybe a bit of my family and the experiences we all have had. Sometimes this want turns into a compulsion. I view all of us as pretty normal in every sense of the way, and truly blessed as well to have had the multitude of experiences we’ve had. At the same time, as I’m sure every person and family has, there are quirks and interesting things, a perceived uniqueness that is also part of the fabric of our lives. Many are fond memories or views on a certain subject that I, in my need to document, want to preserve. They have and will become the fabric for this blog site. Whether or not these memories and other things are of any interest to anyone else other than myself remains to be seen. That will be for you to decide..."

I'm generally not fond of most photographs of myself, but I do really like this pic.  A great time.  The girls and I, West Twin Lake, Lewiston MI. Sept. 2016
